The Research Department established the Emmanuel University Research Ethics Committee (EMUNIREC).<br\/><br\/> EMUNIREC is formed in adherence to the University&#8217;s Research and Consultancy Policy and in compliance with the National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST), a national regulatory agency responsible for the establishment, approval, and operation of research ethics in Malawi. EMUNIREC is thus a university institutional research committee tasked with ensuring the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of all current or prospective participants in the University&#8217;s and its researchers&#8217; social, behavioural, economic, and educational research.
