With the institutional vision statement of \u201cbeing a university where leadership, character building and education are the pillars on which the studies rest,\u201d the Faculty has a role to contribute to the achievement of the stated vision of the institution. This is done through academic motivational talks which feature on the University\u2019s academic calendar of semester events.<br\/><br\/> There are three departments under the Faculty of Education. These include the Department of Education, Department of Languages and Department of Education Foundations. The Faculty is headed by Dr. K. Chimowa who holds among other certificates a Diploma in Philosophy, Diploma in Teaching Methodology, Degree in Philosophy, Masters in Philosophy of Education and a PhD in Philosophy of Education.\nThe Faculty offers programmes of Diploma in Primary Teaching registered and accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). Other programmes include <br\/><br\/>\n<i)Bachelor of Education- Humanities<br\/>\n\n (ii) Bachelor of Education- Social Sciences. These programmes are taught by well qualified staff in the specific area of expertise. The academic calendar starts from January to December.
