EMUNI Partners With Lilongwe City Mayor for Tree Planting Campaign

In a heart-warming display of community spirit, Emmanuel University (EMUNI) joined hands with Lilongwe City Mayor, Sagawa, to support the Mayor’s Mass Tree Planting Campaign.

Led by University Registrar Jeffrey Maganga, EMUNI staff and students enthusiastically planted trees along the M1, near Area 30 Police Headquarters. Mayor Sagawa expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “I am immensely grateful to Emmanuel University for their dedication to this cause. Thank you to the students and staff for a job well done.”

University Registrar Jeffrey Maganga also shared his appreciation, emphasizing the importance of civic duty. “It is proper and nice to see our students fulfilling their noble duties as good citizens. It’s even more inspiring to have the Mayor herself physically takes part in this initiative,” he said.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward environmental sustainability and showcases the university’s commitment to fostering responsible citizenship.
