Emmanuel University recently hosted Dr. Ian Morris, a United Kingdom-based expert in quality assurance, for an intensive consultancy to review and improve the university’s policies, strategies, and procedures.
This visit aimed at aligning the university’s standards with those of the Malawi National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
Dr. Morris conducted a thorough evaluation and provided actionable recommendations to enhance academic standards and operational efficiency. His insights highlighted the need for robust quality assurance mechanisms, faculty development programs, and innovative teaching methodologies.
Rev. Robert Masikamu, Emuni’s Head of Quality Assurance, stated, “Dr. Morris’s visit has been an eye-opener as we seek to elevate our standards and provide the best possible education to our students. His expertise and guidance have given us a clear roadmap for the future.”
He added that the visit concluded with a comprehensive action plan outlining steps for improvement, ensuring Emmanuel University’s progress can be tracked and evaluated effectively.
