Empowering Grant Writing Skills at Emmanuel University

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” This timeless quote by Bobby Unser perfectly encapsulates the spirit of a recent workshop at Emmanuel University.

The event, dedicated to mastering the art of writing winning grant proposals, was a resounding success. Facilitated by Dr. Chikondi Maleta from USAID-Malawi, the workshop aimed to equip university staff with the skills and knowledge needed to secure much-needed funding.

Organized by the university’s Development Center, the workshop focused on key elements that make a grant proposal stand out, essential considerations during the writing process, and the importance of building social capital networks.

Among the attendees was Brown Dzato, who expressed his gratitude to the university management for organizing such a timely and beneficial training session. He emphasized the importance of continual learning and development in achieving the university’s strategic goals. Kamoza Chimungu from EMUNI’s Human Resources department also praised the workshop, appreciating the valuable knowledge shared by Dr. Maleta and highlighting the need for ongoing support in staff professional development.

This initiative not only underscores Emmanuel University’s commitment to excellence but also highlights the critical role of capacity-building workshops in achieving institutional growth and success.
